The Lilith Diaries

Are you Lilith?

Kelly Fisher

Let's just jump on the Election Year bandwagon, shall we?

I'm trying not to be excessively political this election year; really, I am. I've come to the conclusion that nobody really cares about my political views any more this year than they did last year, so if my preaching at them won't sway them my way, why waste my breath? But I do have to harp on one thing that's been bothering me.

Sarah Palin.

I'm not going to blast her character, even though the news I've learned about her policies leaves me disposed to dislike her. What bothers me, though, is that McCain chose HER over all the other choices available to him. I have realized that he chose her because he was hoping her vagina would bring Hillary's supporters to him (and while that trick hasn't worked on me, it is working on someone I know, so she's actually having to put up with me sending a few political sermons her way, the poor dear). And I really don't have a problem with McCain's trying to win the feminist vote by putting a woman on his ticket, but really, all the great female politicians out there for him to choose from he chooses PALIN???

The same man who blasted Obama for not having enough political experience chose a running mate who has less than 10 years political experience. What the shit?!?!?! Does he not understand the ramifications of that? I mean, never mind the amount of piss-taking he's opened himself up to, but how can he expect her to get it done as VP when her political career is comprised of six years as mayor of a little town and less than two years governor of a little state? (Well... little population, at least...) I mean, that's it! That's all she has to go on for helping RUN OUR COUNTRY. And this is McCain's choice for VP...

I just don't get it.

I can't believe how stupid some of the American voters are. Sarah Palin has NOTHING in common with Hillary Clinton. Sarah Palin comes across like a holier-than-thow bully. And I'm getting so sick of the words "maverick" and "reform" that I could puke. I love that they're wanting to "reform" a party that they both belong to and seem to agree with the current president on almost everything. Mc Cain could have picked almost anyone else and it would have been a better pick.
